Industrial Laundry Ironing Machine Maintenance

The machine cannot start

• Check whether the four emergency stop switches are normal and if there are any loose wires.

• Check whether the automatic pressure roller limit switch is jammed or faulty.

• Confirm whether the safety baffle switch is reset.

• Check whether the AC24V relay is damaged.

The machine can start but cannot run

• Check whether the potentiometer is damaged.

• Check whether the parameters of the frequency converter are disordered and if there is any fault indication. If so, re-enter the parameters.

• Check whether the main bearing or the motor bearing is damaged.

• Check whether the V-belt is broken.

The conveyor belts are not synchronized

• Adjust the tension of the conveyor belts to make them consistent.

• If the conveyor belt is partially replaced with a new one due to aging and the lengths are different, the entire conveyor belt needs to be replaced.

• It is prohibited to wax the drying cylinder (waxing is not allowed for drum-type ironing machines).

• Clean the laundries wound around the output roller.

The drying cylinder rotates but the main bearing does not rotate

• This situation may occur if the main bearing is severely short of oil. The bearing needs to be disassembled, cleaned, or replaced.

The machine does not stop immediately after pressing the emergency stop button

• For a newly replaced frequency converter, pay attention to changing the braking mode to free parking of the frequency converter. For example, for an LG frequency converter, change the parameter Fu1 - 07 to 2. For other models of frequency converters, set it according to the instruction manual.

Poor ironing effect

• Ensure that the steam pressure is around 0.4 - 0.5MPa.

• Close the steam inlet and open the bypass valve to drain the remaining steam after the first day's work.

• Check whether the position of the water suction pipe is accurate.

• Check whether the steam trap is working properly.

• If there are multiple devices draining through the same pipeline, install a check valve at the rear of the steam trap of each device, and check whether the installation of the condensed water drain pipe is correct.

• The drainage port of the main condensed water pipe should not be equipped with another steam trap, and there should be no pressure in the main condensed water pipe.

• Clean the scale on the surface of the drying cylinder.

• It is prohibited to use waxed cloth to avoid the laundry and the drying cylinder being out of sync.

• Adjust the tension of the conveyor belts to make them consistent. If the conveyor belts are aged, they need to be replaced.
